About Thompson's Auctions
Thompson's All Around Auction Services Ltd. began in 2000 in Mount Forest, under the registered name of Thompson?s All Around Auction Services Ltd. By 2002 our business plan had advanced to the phase where Shawn Thompson joined the Auctioneers association of Ontario. He has taken training courses through the association ever since.This training took Shawn and Thompson's auctions into a new area. As a result Thompson's auctions
offer live-on-line and apartment auctions as well as real estate and Land auctions.
Family owned and operated, we treat each sale as though it were our own. Our staff has
been trained in all aspects of the business.
Our Services
At Thompson's All Around Auction Services ltd., we offer our clients a full estate service. We confer with our clients explaining the several options to disperse/sell their goods. As of March 2005 we also offer personal property appraisal services. We are now members of the National Auctioneers Association, Canadian Auctioneers Association, and the Ontario Auctioneers Association. We also offer our services to other auction companies, everything from setup, ringing or bid calling, through removal. We are your one stop auction management company for everyone.

A) Auction Sale: All items are sorted and sold by public auction either on site or at an auction hall. Live internet interface can be added to a normal public auction when appropriate.

B)Tag Sale: The goods are tagged and offered for sale. As the sale progresses the prices are systematically lowered until everything is sold.

C) Retail: Specific important items may be sold through our website at www.thompsonsauctions.ca

D) Real Estate: We now offer Real Estate Auctions. Larger auctions may be done wit buyers premiums to keep sellers cost lower.
We charge the vendor from 0% commission on real estate and other large sales.

It is extremely important to use an appropriate, effective advertising campaign whether using a tag or auction sale. Depending on the size and value of the goods being sold, we use newspapers, flyer's, many Internet sites, radio, local television, and signage to increase public awareness of the upcoming sale.
After viewing what is to be sold we will design in our printed auction proposal the best method that suits your circumstance. If we are to sell real estate it will take up to seven days to complete a written appraisal.

SHAWN NOW HAS HIS CPPA
This means he is an accredited Canadian Personal Property Appraiser. It means he can appraise any thing except real estate including such things as china, vehicles, farm machinery and collectibles. The appraisals can be used for everything from bank loans and divorce settlements to insurance evaluations and resales.
